Your privacy matters. This policy explains what information Fawran collects, how we use it, and how we protect it.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide when you register, such as your name and phone number; location data needed to fulfill orders; order and financial transaction history; and device information such as operating system and a push-notification identifier. We do not sell your personal data.
2. How we use your information
We use your data to fulfill delivery orders and match you with a nearby courier, send notifications about your order status, improve the product, protect accounts and detect fraud, and comply with applicable legal requirements in Egypt.
3. Sharing with third parties
We do not sell your personal data. We share the minimum necessary with: the courier assigned to your order (name, phone number, and address only); electronic payment providers to process transactions; mapping and crash-reporting providers that help operate the app; and competent authorities when required by law.
4. Location data
The app uses location services to set pickup and drop-off points, and to track an active delivery in real time. Couriers who are fulfilling an order may share location while the app is in the background so the client can follow the delivery. You can turn location off in your phone settings; some features will then be unavailable.
5. Notifications
We send notifications about order updates and important account notices. You can manage notification preferences in your device settings.
6. Data security
We use encryption in transit to protect your data. Access to sensitive data is limited to staff who need it for their role.
7. Data retention
We keep your account data while the account is active. After you delete your account, we retain order and financial records as needed for legal and accounting purposes, with personal identifiers removed or replaced so they no longer identify you.
8. Your rights
You may access the personal data we hold, request correction of inaccurate data, and request deletion of your account from inside the Fawran app. To exercise these rights, use Delete Account in the app, or contact us through the contact form on this website.
9. Children's privacy
Fawran is not directed at people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If we learn that a minor has registered, we will delete the account.
10. Policy updates
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes in the app. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
